Episode 30 - Let's Take a Test! Part 3 of 3
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
Sunday Nov 10, 2019
In this episode, the second in a mini-series of three, I will be taking a 36 question long political spectrum test in an effort to further explore the language of politics both in general and specifically in America today. Given some of my edge-case beliefs it should be an interesting experiment, especially when we get to compare the results.
This test will be the Pace News Political Compass test which, according to their website, is a test that profiles political personalities applicable to all democracies . They use a standard 2 axis (X/Y) graph to plot their results with Left/Right being the X axis and Authoritarian/Libertarian being the Y axis. The resulting quadrants (clockwise) are described as Authoritarian Left, Authoritarian Right, Libertarian Left & Libertarian Right.
For a cheater's look at my results you can see them here and the printable certificate with the various historical/political figures plotted in addition to my results can be found here.

This test will be the IDRLabs Political Coordinates test which, according to their website, is a political quiz that attempts to obtain your scores on the two major political scales found in Western democracies. They use a standard 2 axis (X/Y) graph to plot their results with Left/Right being the X axis and Communitarian/Liberal being the Y axis. The resulting quadrants are described as Left-liberalism (Social Liberalism), Right-Communitarianism (Conservatism), Left-Communitarianism (Social Democracy) & Right-Liberalism (Libertarianism).

Episode 28 - Let's Take a Test! Part 1 of 3
Friday Nov 08, 2019
Friday Nov 08, 2019
In this episode, the first in a mini-series of three, I will be taking a 70 question long political spectrum test in an effort to further explore the language of politics both in general and specifically in America today. Given some of my edge-case beliefs it should be an interesting experiment, especially when we get to compare the results.
The first test will be 8values which, according to their website, is a political quiz that attempts to assign percentages for eight different political values. Those 8 values being distributed across 4 spectrums (economic, diplomatic, state & society) with the independent axes representing the "8 values" (equality vs markets, nation vs globe, liberty vs authority & tradition vs progress) respectively.
For a cheater's look at my results you can see them here or here.

Episode 27 - The Sun Is Up
Thursday Nov 07, 2019
Thursday Nov 07, 2019
In this episode I briefly talk about a whiny billionaire who forced out some crocodile tears for TV, I have a nice rant about our Slum Lord in Chief's poisonous tap water at his "National Golf Course", his family's history of being slumlords, his failing Chicago hotel, the Kentucky GOP attempting to steal the gubernatorial race, the illegitimate Supreme Court that has been stacked by conservatives hearing of a LGBT rights case after two of the members have been hanging out with known bigots, Bernie Sanders' immigration plan (including the abolition of ICE and halting of deportations).

Episode 26 - A Quick This and That
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
In this episode I take a not so cheery tour of some of the problems we seem to be facing as a people/species but it’s not all bad I suppose as at the top I talk about the recent Democratic turnovers in Virginia and Kentucky which may provide a ray of optimism for some.

Episode 25 - It's Late and My Sleep Schedule Sucks
Tuesday Nov 05, 2019
Tuesday Nov 05, 2019
In this episode I talk a bit about my ongoing sclerosing injection treatment for my morton's neuroma (fucking ouch!), my absolute dogshit sleep schedule, hypnotists, magicians, mentalists, con-artists and pickpockets with special mention of Richard Turner, Apollo Robbins, Derren Brown and Dave Elman. And of course no podcast of mine would be complete without me covering some irritating news of "the day" that is making things worse for us all: Russia is going to try and build their own segmented Internet, their distrust and attempt at squashing out hip-hop in their country, the semi-sanctioned murder of Brazilian Indigenous Tribal leader Paulo Paulino Guajajara by loggers who have been emboldened by right-wing crypto-fascist Bolsonaro, the reversal of EO 13688 and the Trump administration "surge" sending a new tsunami's worth of military gear (armored vehicles, bayonets, grenade launchers, etc) into the waiting greedy arms of the country's "police", the $3.5B loss that corn farmers are facing, the obsession with the medically unnecessary removal of animals gonads in America and just a general rant towards people who vote/act against their own self-interests and the interests of the species as a whole.

Episode 24 - Take the Victories Where They Lie
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Monday Nov 04, 2019
In this episode I talk about some setbacks and some gains. It was a productive day and I got to jog, albeit only for a 1/4 mile but jog I did nonetheless, for the first time in years! YAY! Topics and headlines discussed range from the Mango Mussolini news of the last couple days, his harebrained daughter's attempted defense of him, some US budget news, more ongoing environmental damage in the form of another Keytstone pipeline leak, healthcare coverage decreasing across the board and a small town story about an allegedly bloated booze-bag of a mayor slapping an employee at city hall. Also a couple of quotes from Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein about the harm of capitalism and the merits of socialism, respectively.

Episode 23 - William Thompson
Sunday Nov 03, 2019
Sunday Nov 03, 2019
In this episode I talk about one of my favorite topics, con artists. From the man who gave birth to the term (William Thompson) to one of the all-time greats (Victor Lustig), examples of con artistry and the evolution into organized crime in the American Old West (Lou Blonger) to the modern day electronic online scam known as e-whoring.

Episode 22 - A Whole Lotta Nothing
Saturday Nov 02, 2019
Saturday Nov 02, 2019
This episode is one longass ramble. It's been a rough (time period) and I'm sorta out of it so I just chat about my favorite game (Hitman), having regrets, fear of retribution for speaking your mind and some other stuff. Shoutout to CJ! I'm done.
