Friday Jun 05, 2020
Friday Jun 05, 2020
In this offline episode I just talk a bit about what I got up to today, some of the various aspects of building and running a 3D printer, the ecologically friendly filament I've sourced for printing and whatever else springs to mind. No news today folks, this one's all just journaling.
Enjoy!

Proudly Radical - Episode 84 - Chill Stream
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
In this nighttime stream we take a more laid back approach, talk video games have some fun with a flat earther (lol) and talk some stories of the day here and there. For the most part it's a chill stream without too much drama and not a huge focus on the protests.
Enjoy!

Proudly Radical - Episode 83 - Riots, Martial Law and Impending Doom
Monday Jun 01, 2020
Monday Jun 01, 2020
In this evening episode we talked about the various stories from the weekend and of the day with a fairly healthy back and forth with chat for the last third of the episode. I'm tired and have much still to do so forgive the lack of story links.
Enjoy!

Sunday May 31, 2020
In this episode I add additional context and commentary to this ever so relevant episode given the events surrounding the murder of George Floyd and the resulting protests and reactions to it.
This episode is about the historical origins of what we recognize as modern metropolitan police forces. In what may be true or apocryphal (it's difficult to tell) I tell you the tale of how police came to earn the nickname of "pigs" and how that set that tone for all future policing efforts.
I then move the story over to "the colonies", or what would become the United States of America and explain the two separate origin points for policing in our country today. The northern model and the southern model. With that covered I go on to explain some of the glaring deficiencies and outright cancerous problems with how police are trained and equipped that lead to the tragic outcomes we often see today.

Proudly Radical - Episode 77 - Protests & Theory Heavy
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
In this episode we spend quite a bit of time talking about the George Floyd murder, policing, racism and the general shittiness of our system as it stands. I also at the very end of the first show got into a interesting discussion with someone and so there is an "aftershow" episode included as well in which Will, Catissilo and myself continue to discuss organizing principles and other philosophies of the politically left.
Enjoy!
